What are your qualifications?
I have a Master's degree in mathematics and I taught 17 semesters of college algebra at Oklahoma State University between Fall 2016 and Spring 2025. I'm good at identifying students' misunderstandings and finding a way of explaining things that helps it all make sense.
What are your prices and availability?
I'm available in person for students in Stillwater, OK, and online for all students. I tutor college algebra primarily, but am open to other math subjects as well. My schedule is flexible. We should be able to find a time to meet that works for you. My prices are listed on my sign-up form. The form also allows you to tell me generally when are good times for you to meet. Once you turn in the form, I should respond within 24 hours.
How many sessions do I need in a semester? Will this cost a fortune?
Every student's needs are different. During our introductory session, we'll make a plan, then we'll adjust as we go. We'll be strategic with the way we spend time together. I will encourage you to use the free resources listed below for routine help with your homework. Our sessions should focus on concepts you're struggling with, preparation for exams, and any big picture issues that might hinder your success in the class. Whether we meet weekly or only a few times over the semester, the cost to you will be significantly less than the cost of re-taking the course. - book now!

There are no shortcuts to passing college algebra at OSU. Your success depends on the effort you're able to put into the class. I can only guarantee that I will give you excellent advice based on years of teaching experience, and that I'll try my hardest to support your learning journey. The actual learning is entirely up to you.

What makes a private tutor a better option?
You must be able to actually perform algebra during exams in order to pass (or ace) this class! Many students fall into the trap of getting “too much” help completing assignments for points. Completing homework without proper engagement will not help you pass an exam. An experienced private tutor will catch and correct mistakes in your understanding and help ensure your homework time is actually preparing you for the exams.

Why do I need an introductory private tutoring session right now?
